Remote Deposit Capture 

Now you can deposit checks with your smartphone from the comfort of your living room! Enjoy the convenience of not having to drive to the credit union just to deposit a check.

To enroll, simply give us a call at (616) 406-2480 and press 1 to speak with a representative. 

Instructions:

Once you have enrolled in Remote Deposit Capture and downloaded our Mobile Banking App, simply follow these steps to deposit your check:

  1. Endorse the check with your signature and "Mobile Deposit Only".
  2. Open the Rivertown Mobile Banking App
  3. Select Deposit and the account you want to deposit the check into.
  4. Enter the amount of the check.
  5. Allow the app to use your camera and take a picture of the front and back of the check
  6. Confirm and submit the deposit.

Things to Remember

  • Make sure the name or names on the check match what are listed on your account.
  • Securely store the original check. When the deposit has been posted to your account, you may destroy the check.
  • Mobile deposits are processed Monday through Friday. Deposits received before 3:00PM EST will be posted by 5:00PM same business day. Deposits made after 3:00PM will be posted by 5:00PM the following business day.
  • The first $200 of the deposit will be available on the 1st business day after the deposit posts to your account. The remaining amount will be available on the 2nd business day.
  • You can deposit up to $2,000 per day.
  • Most personal and business checks payable in U.S. dollars and drawn on any U.S. bank are eligible for mobile deposit. Excluding money orders, insurance claim checks, traveller's checks and credit card advance checks.
